Startup Sphere Weekly #1
A photo editor selling for $1.25 million and $100,000 MRR for an AI Shopify tool.
Hey all, I am excited to be writing the first edition of Startup Sphere. Every week I’ll be sharing profitable online businesses that are selling for a life-changing amount of money. We make it easy to find your next business idea or venture.
B2B AI platform that can build a Shopify store in just 12 minutes.
Asking Price: $2.48 million
Monthly Revenue: $103,000
Monthly Profit: $92,000
This company uses artificial intelligence to create custom Shopify themes, based on your input. This is a great application of AI, as most Shopify themes can run you almost $500. With e-commerce being such a dominant force in the online space, and Shopify leading the charge, I can see a business like this continuing to grow. Competitors include websites like dropgenius.com.
Online photo editor that lets users create, edit, and turn photos into artwork
Asking Price: $1.25 million
Monthly Revenue: $29,000
Monthly Profit: $25,000
This is a startup that has been around for over 10 years. It is similar to photo editors like picmonkey.com, pixlr.com, and fotor.com. It seems like there is a good opportunity to utilize AI to enhance the tool. There are some open-source AI options like Stable Difussion.
Create social media contests to boost engagement and capture leads
Asking Price: $7.2 million
Monthly Revenue: $135,000
Monthly Profit: $122,000
This tool includes everything you need to create Instagram contests, sweepstakes, giveaways, etc. Users can enter the URL of an Instagram post and have a winner selected randomly. Competitors include easypromosapp.com and wask.co. My immediate thought is that Instagram giveaways aren’t as hot as they used to be, although I still see them from time to time. I imagine these giveaways are still effective. There seems to be a big growth opportunity to partner with influencers.
That’s it for the first edition of Startup Sphere. I’d love to hear your feedback and what I can improve on. See you next week!
