Startup Sphere Weekly #42
A crypto platform selling for $130,000. Also, an ecom store making $200,000/year.
Hey it’s Vlad,
welcome back to Startup Sphere, a 5-minute weekly digest about online businesses selling for life-changing amounts of money.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I recently started posting on a new Instagram - @itsvladverba. I’m going to be focusing on building and showing how to build software. I also plan on sharing my code on GitHub.
I’d really appreciate it if you dropped me a follow and a like on my most recent video 🙏
Now let’s get into this week’s business listings ⤵️
Weekly Rundown
Shopify store selling hair care products
Asking Price: $54,000
TTM Revenue: $76,000
TTM Profit: $200,000
Haircare has always been a niche that prints money. The reality is it plays to a lot of people’s insecurities, but often times that’s exactly what works in business.
The business for sale is an e-commerce store selling hair care products. It runs on a dropshipping model, so the company doesn’t have to hold any inventory.
The business also comes with a couple of valuable assets, mainly a TikTok page with almost 150,000 followers. I think this adds massive value to the brand (given that the audience is engaged) and gives the new user a great starting point.
I would lean even more into TikTok and start selling products on the TikTok shop, and partner with creators to create UGC content (which would then get reposted to the main TikTok page).
You can check out their website at ThePurcStore.com.
Analytics tool for crypto trading
Asking Price: $130,000
TTM Revenue: $30,000
TTM Profit: $30,000
Crypto is an industry that has seen lots of bull and bear markets, but there is a constantly present dedicated group and lots of businesses being built in the space.
The company for sale is a crypto trading platform that helps users enhance their crypto trading experience. The platform has tools that monitor wallet transactions, token holder activities, etc. Essentially, the platform gives users insights that will hopefully lead them to make better decisions in the market.
I am not a huge fan of these businesses, but they are clearly profitable.
I think a great marketing strategy here would be to start making organic content and partner with influencers to promote this platform. Crypto enthusiasts are extremely passionate about the space, so I think the audience would be sticky.
The business also has 95% profit margins, which doesn’t hurt.
Online marriage service for couples
Asking Price: $200,000
TTM Revenue: $200,000
TTM Profit: $60,000
This isn’t really a business model I usually feature in the newsletter, but I thought it was a perfect example of how there is no one way to make money online. You don’t always need to start a SaaS, an agency, or an e-commerce store. Sometimes, money is hidden in niches that you aren’t even thinking about.
The business for sale is an online marriage service, specifically for international couples. They offer the ability to get married without the need for traditional ceremonies. I am not sure how common this is (it hasn’t happened to me haha) but I’m guessing people need a way to get married online, so they can bring someone else into a country.
The business currently relies solely on organic traffic, which is a blessing and a curse depending on how you look at it. I’m not exactly sure how to best market a business like this. Maybe SEO? Reply to this email and let me know your thoughts.
Onlinemarriage.com is an example of a competitor if you want to dive deeper into the niche.

Last Week’s Poll
The results are in - the marketing SaaS for summer camps got the most votes last week, which I found pretty interesting. The Shopify app for generating shoppable videos came in a close second.
