Weekly Rundown
Directory submission service
Asking Price: $24,000
TTM Revenue: $12,000
TTM Profit: $8,000
This is a great concept for a business with low startup costs and a good upside.
The business for sale is a service that will submit your website (in this case your AI tool or SaaS project) to a long list of directories. The idea is that this will lead to greater visibility, improved SEO, and overall larger reach.
I think this is a really simple but effective idea that saves busy entrepreneurs time and provides them with a service that will help their reach.
This business can be tailored for any niche, for example submitting people’s newsletters to directories.
ListingBott is an example of a competitor.
MacOS screenshot app
Asking Price: $200,000
TTM Revenue: $48,000
TTM Profit: $ —
I featured a MacOS screenshot tool many months ago, so I thought it was interesting that I came across another one.
The concept is simple - this app makes it easier to capture, edit, and share aesthetic screenshots on your Mac. I’ve mostly seen tools like this used as a way to share MMR screenshots or news headlines.
While this isn’t necessarily a slam-dunk business for everyone, I think that with the right owner, the growth potential is unlimited. I also think partnering with an influencer in the graphic design space can be a big way to boost traffic.
CleanShot X, Shottr, and BrandBird are examples of competitors.
Antivirus comparison website
Asking Price: $3,200,000
TTM Revenue: $2,400,000
TTM Profit: $877,000
I constantly struggle to pick a singular product, especially when I am stuck between a couple of options. Websites like this one are a godsend when I find them.
The business for sale is a comparison website that helps readers compare and pick computer software (anti-virus, VPNs, hosting products).
I am personally a fan of these websites since they let users more easily choose a product by picking what features are more important to them.
Currently, the website makes most of its money from the anti-virus category, but I think there is an opportunity to diversify and expand into adjacent products (especially since fewer people are buying anti-virus).
It seems like the business monetized through affiliate links, and has strong relationships with some of the companies it refers. Running ads would also be another way to monetize, although those would probably be less profitable.
