Startup Sphere Weekly #51
This AI dating app is selling for $2,000,000. Plus, an AI software to turn blog posts into infographics.
Hey, it’s Vlad.
Happy 2025, and welcome back to Startup Sphere - a weekly newsletter about online businesses selling for life-changing amounts of money.
I took a short break from writing the newsletter over the holiday, but now I’m back and ready to get going.
Before we start, reply to this email with what you’d want to see from Startup Sphere in 2025. It will go a long way in helping me improve the newsletter 🙂
Now that that’s out of the way, here is this week’s business rundown ⤵️
Weekly Rundown
Tools for Runescape game economy
Asking Price: $150,000
TTM Revenue: $50,000
TTM Profit: $47,000
Runescape was a big part of my childhood growing up, but I truly had no ideas the game was still played to this level.
The business for sale is a suite of tools for Runescape (the old-school version) that helps players maximize profits by providing insight into market insights for materials, price trends, etc.
This is a really interesting concept to me, and I think being built on top of Runescape presents a unique opportunity. The game has been around for a long time, and will probably stay active, so there is a huge customer base here to tap into.

Software to turn blogs into infographics
Asking Price: $157,000
TTM Revenue: $63,000
TTM Profit: $53,000
There are entire companies, communities, newsletters (and more) built on infographics and charts.
This business taps into that niche by turning large amounts of complex information (like a blog post) into an easily digestible infographic. These infographics can then be shared across other channels (like social media) making the distribution of content much easier and faster.
The business was founded in February 2024, so it isn’t exactly well established, but it would be interesting to see what this space currently looks like.
Also, keep in mind that larger platforms (maybe Canva) are likely exploring these types of solutions as well, so you would need a way to differentiate yourself.

AI tool for dating profile optimization
Asking Price: $2,050,000
TTM Revenue: $1,083,000
TTM Profit: $325,000
I’ve featured a number of AI-powered apps in the dating space in this newsletter, so it is pretty interesting to see how vast this niche is.
The business for sale is a tool that specifically focuses on helping users optimize their dating profiles. The software employs a one-time fee business model, helping users improve everything from their descriptions to photos.
I really like this idea, especially since the AI dating space is exploding with apps like Rizz. Users in this space are willing to pay money in hopes of getting more matches on their profile.
The business also comes with other assets, like the information for 500,000+ registered accounts (I assume that includes emails) and 300,000 social media followers.
